Our dance

Today I am going to show how it was like in the stage and dancing. The building was big and huge it was like an actual castle and when it was the time to dance we were trying our best and we gave our %100 it was so amazing I even get to watch it here was the pictures. We were even last and my dad said "Every time people are last it means it's the best dance/something". The dance was called "Jazz" and we practised "Jazz" for about 8 weeks and it was very long. We even had a dance battle at the end boys vs girls and in the first part it was running man the second the girls did a tik tok dance in the first and second and in the last part we did the hype from Fortnite

The dance was great and we saw other people dance too. They were great dancers it was so cool to watch and I have the video so here is the link so you can see us dancing.

My google summit experience

Today I went into a google meet and the girl was presenting on how to use Prezi

I liked how she explained all the things so I would understand it easier

It was frustrating when she was talking too fast because I heard missed some of the words she says

My shadow by Robert L.S

Today we are checking out "My shadow"

The connection I made to the title was it’s like when I had my shadow it does everything I do.

The poem was organized by having 4 stanzas with 16 sentences and in the poem the whole rhyming pattern was AABB.

The tone of the poem was a bit sad because the shadow was acting on his own.

The poetic devices I found in the poem were:

Personification: It said “And I see him jump before me” it’s talking about that he was slow, “The funniest thing about him is the way he likes to grow” he was liking it shadow does not have feelings, “he's a coward you can see” Shadows can’t be a coward unless the person was the coward which he was not, “Had stayed at home behind me and was fast asleep in bed.” The person was awake while his shadow was still asleep.

Simile: “For he sometimes shoots up taller like an India-rubber ball,” It was talking about 2 unlike things that are using like or as, same as this one “But my lazy little shadow, like an arrant sleepy-head,”

The poet wanted me or you guys to think about the poem. I thought about the poem like the shadow he was not following the person's movements.

This was an adventure guy's thanks for reading my blog. Bye

I wandered lonely as a cloud by William W

Today my teacher found a poem for us to find out things and it's called "I wandered lonely as a cloud" by William Wordsworth.

The connection I found in the title was how sad if you were lonely without anyone.

The poem was organized with 4 stanzas and with 22 sentences, The whole poem’s rhyming pattern was ABABCC.

The tone of the poem was it was sad being lonely but you still find things that are fun.

The poetic devices that I found were:

Simile: it said  “I wandered lonely as a cloud” because a cloud is together but if you spread them apart he will have friends, and it said again “Continuous as the stars that shine”.

Hyperbole: It had “Golden Daffodils”  A daffodil can’t be gold if it was you’d have to use melted gold and it will burn the daffodil. It said “They stretched in never-ending line” it’s impossible having a never-ending line.

Personification: Where it said “The waves beside them danced” a wave can’t dance, I found another personification and it said “A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.” daffodils can’t dance.

The meaning of the poem and the poem wanted me to think about this poem was even if you don’t have friends you can try joining other people.

If by Rudyard Kipling

Today we did a poem by Rudyard Kipling and he had a good poem this was his poem.

The connection I found in the poem was what would happen if I trusted myself.

The poem was organized by having 4 stanzas and 32 sentences.

The tone of the poem was, In the first stanza it had AAAABCBC the second one was ABABCDCD the third one was ABABCDCD and the last one was ABABCDCD.

The poetic device I have listed and found was:

Hyperbole: If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster you cannot meet with a disaster, the other one said “Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools;” you can’t fix your life with worn-out tools and the last one where it says” Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,” you cannot earn earth.

Personification: It said “If you can force your heart” you can’t force your heart so it is a personification.

Metaphor: It said “If you can keep your head when all about you” it didn’t have like or as and it compared two, unlike things.

Alliteration: The poem said “all about” it had the same first letter in the word.

The poet wanted me and you guys to think about the poem and it was: Trusting himself than others and never give up even if people doubt you.
