Science: Gummy BEARS

Guys today we have a science experiment called Gummy Bear Osmosis

It's where the gummy bears suck up the different kinds of water the fastest.

Aim: I want to find out what happens to Gummy Bears when we put them onto different solutions.

Prediction:

I predict that one of the Gummy Bears will expand into a little bit of a bigger size.

Method:

1. Put Gummy bears to the Petri dish

2. Place the water/Salt/Sugar in one of the Gummy bears

3. Then wait for 6 days ;-;

4. Then BOOM done

5. Just don't eat the salt Gummy Bear 🤢

Equipment:

1. 4x Gummy Bears of the same colour

2. 2x Petri dishes

3. Paper towels

4. Marker Pen

5. Water

6. Sugar water

7. Dry Water

8. Salt Water

9. Electronic Balance

10. Beaker

11. Measuring Cylinder

12. Safety Glasses

Updates!

Osmosis: The movement of liquids or gases through a semi- permeable membrane.

Diffusion: The movement of any substance from a higher concentration to a lower concentration.

Conclusion:

The dry Gummy Bear lost weight and was lighter after 6 days.

The Gummy Bear in normal water lost 1.82 gm in 6 days.

The Gummy Bear in salt water lost 1.2 gm in 6 days.

The Gummy Bear in sugar lost 0.7 gm in 6 days.

I hope you like the updates guys stay tuned for more science experiment!
